Because STEM Wizard operates on a year-to-year basis, accounts and data from previous fairs do not automatically transfer. Even if a teacher/advisor participated last year, they must complete the registration process for the current fair year to ensure their name appears in the system for their students. Complete this step as soon as possible, as students will need to select their teacher/advisor name from a dropdown menu to finalize their own registrations.
CSRSEF follows most of the same rules as the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). Read the CSRSEF Student Handbook and refer to CSRSEF's Display and Safety Rules to make sure that all student projects adhere to the guidelines.
When guiding students, please ensure their projects align with the appropriate methodology for their chosen track. Science projects should be hypothesis-based, following the formal scientific method to test a specific question through controlled experimentation and data analysis. In contrast, engineering projects should focus on defining clear engineering goals and navigating the design process to develop a functional prototype or product that solves a specific problem. Distinguishing between these two paths early will help students structure their research and fulfill the specific criteria used during the judging process.
