Students must arrive during a specific 60-minute window on the morning of the Fair to set up their projects for the required Display & Safety review. Please note that students arriving after this window will be unable to compete, as the Display & Safety team will no longer have sufficient time to complete these mandatory safety inspections before judging begins. On the day of the Fair and after students have set up their projects, our Display & Safety team will evaluate them to be sure that each project adheres to our Display & Safety rules.
Each assigned project station has a Table Assignment sheet. This sheet is used to track progress of different elements of the Fair such as Display & Safety and Judging.
Once the project is fully assembled, the student will fold the Table Assignment Sheet into a table tent and place it prominently on the desk with the "I’m Ready for Display & Safety" side facing out. After setting this indicator, the student must leave the room to allow the review team to perform the inspection.
Upon returning to the project room, students should expect to see:
(No Sticker)- The project has not been reviewed yet. Don't worry! It takes the team a lot of time to check 350+ projects!
Green Approval Sticker- The project has been checked, has followed all display and safety rules and is approved for judging.
